a few pics from the week... more to follow

auntie stacey came to visit and took cash to the playground... that was only one day! she watched him 2 nights so kells and i could get out on the town too! we miss you already stacey and cash hasn't been himself since you've been gone. thanks again!

while stacey was here kelly had his 3_ birthday... we went up to rockport to one of our favorite little restaurants... after we stuffed ourselves with ice cream while sitting in the little park- check out cash's hand-me-downs from his cousin jake... sweet pants!

i also took cash to target for some new toy shopping. he's so sick of his "baby" toys so i bought him a big boy dump truck. he was so excited that he kept trying to get at it sitting in the seat of the cart- so i let him ride in the buggie with his truck!

then when we got home he played with his truck all afternoon... loading it with blocks, stuffed animals, remote controls, anything he can get his hands on.

baby butt-

feelings of inadequacy...

i've been reading too many mom blogs lately. especially blogs of women who live in country towns, who bake bread, can fresh jellies, sew halloween costumes and do arts and crafts projects with their kids everyday. it leaves me feeling a little bit inadequate as a mother... not making "home cooked meals" everyday for my son and certainly not canning jellies. so in order to make myself feel better i made cash some whole wheat vegetable muffins and felt really proud of myself because he really loved them!

he LOVES these things!!

now that's one happy camper!

we're back!

so i know there is always the excuse "we've been busy"... but try this one on for size: cash threw up for five days. needless to say the past week and a half has been a blurr- regurgitated milk and graham crackers, sleepless nights, countless diapers with "i don't know what that is!" in them, restaurant hours and we squeezed in a two night trip to cape cahd for kells and i. thanks a million to grandma and ron for their marathon visit to boston and their help in cleaning up the regurgiated milk and the sleepless nights! you guys should come more often ;) next week we get auntie stacey from tennessee... and she thinks she's going on vacation! time to clock in auntie!
